a bookishly good Christmas party awaits...
Although it seems obscene to be talking about Christmas in summer, plenty of folks have been trying to book their own bit of Bookclub to make sure they have a cracking Christmas party, so we might as well get started...
Last year we single handedly (almost) saved mr turkey from yuletide extinction with our turkey-free xmas menu. Unfortunately, this meant curtains for mr goose, who found himself right in the line of tastebud fire. As Mr Turkey sent us his heartfelt thanks after seeing Boxing Day for the first time in history, we're ready to repeat the trick in 2011.
If you're a guinea fowl however, I'd start packing and book a 1 way ticket out of dodge. Things ain't looking rosy for the fowl.
We love a bargain down Bookclub way, so a mere £17 at lunch and £23 at dinner will get you the finest {hb} service and 3 courses of much better than average festive chow.
Sam will once more be co-ordinating the co-ordinators and giving you heavy abuse for not paying your deposit on time or minding your Ps & Qs. Fortunately for you, she will also make sure that you are the hero in your office/ family/ workplace/ circle of friends for arranging a mindblowingly entertaining 3 course extravaganza.
3 extra stocking fillers that Joe Bloggs Bar down the road can't offer you:
Pre-book a gramophone or 3 to make your table a real stand out. (we'll fill it with booze) Work off those extra sausages with a game of ping-pong in our table tennis cage Settle the after-dinner argument with a no-holes barred Mario Kart tournament on the super Nintendo in our adults games area
Take that Joe Bloggs.
